Helicopter-Rocket

Another project from my high school engineering class, I built a model rocket with a helicopter blade recovery system. Instead of deploying a parachute for descent, my rocket deployed three spring-loaded rotor blades that spun to slow the rocket's descent. There was no advantage to this system at all, other than looking really cool.

Unfortunately, I don't have any good pictures of the blades in flight. The system did work decently, and my projected descent rate from tests I did before flight was pretty accurate.
